Just in time for the new school year, Globisens is officially launching a faster and more powerful Labdisc with a new version 10 hardware configuration. The new Labdisc V10 is offering x8 more memory; is able to store up to 1,000,000 samples and has x5 faster sampling rate, recording sensors at a speed of 100,000 samples per second.
While upgrading the Labdisc hardware, we have also improved the GlobiLab analysis software with the
latest feature of OPEN+
. It enables students and teachers to compare several different recordings in the same graphic window.
The example below is a classic comparison of three temperature cooling curves. It is made of three different temperature recordings – all using the Labdisc temperature probe. The probe was first placed in a cup of hot water at 83⁰C, and then taken out of the hot water cup and placed in 3 different media:
- Ice water at 0⁰C
- Room temperature water at 25⁰C
- Open air at 25⁰C
We were recording the cooling curve in each of the above media separately, at a recording speed of 1 sample per second and collected a total of 1000 samples. Each recording was saved separately using the SAVE function in GlobiLab.
