Pairing the Labdisc and computer

To benefit from Labdisc wireless Bluetooth communication, a quick process called pairing is necessary. Pairing need be done only once for each Labdisc, after which the computer stores the connection information, including a unique name for each Labdisc.

This short movie demonstrates the simple steps involved in the pairing process.

Candle Flame Physics Video Experiment

The most recent addition to the line of video training experiments from Globisens uses the Biochem Labdisc and a thermocouple temperature sensor to relate temperature and color in the three different zones of a candle flame. With this hands-on activity students can explore combustion, the chemical process in which a substance reacts with oxygen to produce heat.

Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) Features Labdisc at BETT 2013

Labdisc selected for ADE Presentation at BETT

After demonstrating the Labdisc all over the world, Andrew Rhodes, ADE and Director of Technology at the International School Norway, chose to showcase a series of three Labdisc and iPad experiments during BETT 2013. His session, aimed at middle to high school educators, demonstrated how the Labdisc and iPad can be smoothly integrated into the classroom workflow.
